Most of you ladies are probably are not familiar with eShakti, a online clothing shop. eShakti specializes in customizing women’s clothing to meet the needs of it’s customer. I was first introduced to eShakti when I spotted a beautiful dress on my fellow blogger friend, Linda Mendible. She was rocking a hot number at the NC Blogger Meetup last month. That is when I discovered the glory of eShakti. I love the idea of customizing clothing because at 5’2 it is hard to find anything that fits. There are dresses, skirts and blouses on the site in variety of sizes. They also offer inexpensive customizations and certain style options (such as adding sleeves, shortening the hemline, etc).
Retro-Inspired Flamingo Dress + DIY Necklace
After pouring over all the great dresses on their website, I chose this Retro-Inspired Flamingo Dress. Y’all know I am a fan of Retro designs.
I love this dress so much and am digging these flamingos. It is 100% Cotton, perfect for the sweltering heat in the South. It has a retro fit and was customized hit right below my knee. It is the type of dress that makes you feel like a lady. Oh yeah… it also has pockets….so this lady can stuff them with lipstick and legos.
*Necklace – DIY by Paper & Fox
Shoes – Aerosoles from Marshall’s

Remember my “Mom” Necklace. I used the same technique to construct this pink “Flamingo” necklace.
Here are some other dresses that are on my “wish list”. I think I will customize a shorter dress next time so that I can wear it with flat sandals.
Pretty cute dresses huh? Lucky for you, first time registered customers will receive $25.00 off their first order.

So, what do you think about my Retro-Inspired Flamingo dress? More importantly, where should my husband take me on a date so that I can wear it again?
