Paintings of Doughnuts and Tacos

Hi Friends,

I have been in a painting mood lately and for some reason my subject of choice has been food.  During any free time I have I get out my paints and brushes and start working. I went on a doughnut painting kick last week.Painting of a Doughnut by Paper & Fox

Little Pink Donut

Here is the finished Doughnut. Makes you happy right? When I was younger I tended to paint dark, serious and “deep” paintings. In the past few years, I only paint silly things  or things that make me happy. Here are a couple more Doughnut paintings that I finished.

Little Miss Donut

Double Donuts

So, while I was on this breakfast pastry painting kick my husband suggested that we participate in this.

Twenty-two

So naturally, I switched my focus from Donuts to Tacos.

Paintings of Doughnuts and Tacos

Taco Painting by Paper & Fox

Here is my taco a.k.a. “Lunch” (my son named it) that will be in Gallery Twenty-Two this weekend until the end of the month. Unfortunately, my husband did not have time to get a (hotdog) piece together for the show, but we will still make a date night out of it. I am interested to see what other artist came up with.

I hope you enjoyed my paintings or at least they made you smile.

Thanks, Carmody

Painting is an exceptionally relaxing activity. I dabbled in it some in my 20s. That’s one great looking taco.
