Happy Holidays My Friends!
This time of year I can be in hyper creativity mode or completely overwhelmed and catatonic. I tend to go back and forth. I will be painting, sewing and decorating then have a freak out moment about not ordering holiday cards. I bet ya’ll can relate. In the mist of my holiday madness, I actually managed to get some great projects done. I am so glad that Emily of Table and Hearth asked me to be a apart of her Home for the Holiday Blog Hop. Now I can slow down and take a look of some of my creations this season.
Come on in and make yourself at home!
My goal was to stick with Black, White, Gold and Red as the main colors for my holiday decor. I re-decorated this mantle over and over again. Finally, I came up with a kid friendly and aesthetically pleasing combo. The cushion is key with two rowdy boys in the house (protects the noggin).
In my holiday manic mode, I painted this “Merry & Bright” painting. You can download a copy here. I have it framed hanging in my dining-room.
I heart bunting of any kind. I whipped up this book-page garland with the intention of using it through the winter.
It is silly to spend a lot of money on decorating. Here is my trash to treasure Rustic Christmas Decoration.
All you need is a cool pattern and a sharpie for an awesome ornament. Here is my take on the salt dough ornament.
A beaded tree was my perfect solution for all the beads that I had hiding under my bed.
To keep my rowdy boys busy, I created this garland out of magnetic letters and mason jar lids. This is great for kids, but also can be used to spell “other” statements later in the evening.
I hope that you enjoyed my Christmas mania and please check out what these other amazing ladies have created for their homes.
