DIY Thank You Cards

DIY Thank You Cards

diy thank you card

Knox had a great Birthday Party and was really lucky to receive very thoughtful gifts from his friends.    Saying “thank you” is a great social skill to practice at any age.  I thought that he looked  handsome in his Birthday Shirt photo and decided to create it into a card.

I took the original photo with my iPhone.  With a iPhone photo app, I added the “Thanks” bubble.  There are tons of free apps available that do this.  Once I was satisfied with the text, I uploaded the image to Shutterfly. I ordered 4 x 4 prints  at $0.17 each.  The prints arrive in my mailbox a few days later.

I purchased paper that was allegedly 4 x 4 at a craft store.

I had to trim the edges to properly fit the size of the photo.

Using a glue stick, made for photographs, I applied glue to the back of the paper.

With light pressure, I attached the paper to the print.

Now you can write a nice note on the back of the photo and complete your DIY Thank You Card.   Not only the gift purchaser (parent) will appreciate the gratitude, but so will the kids.

* The above note is totally fiction
